About :

Vietnamese New Year Festival is an annual festival in Vietnam celebrated from 5th February day of the month, hence the date varies every year in the calendar. Since it is a public holiday in Vietnam all the schools, colleges and government offices remain closed on this day.

Vietnamese New Year is also called Tet. Even on the same day, China reveres its new year. On the occasion of Vietnamese New Year Lion dance, Dargon dance, fireworks, and many more events are held. Vietnamese people gather and convey the New Year's wishes to their families and friends.

On the occasion of the Vietnamese New Year, people worship the god and pray for his blessings. The purpose of this New Year is to celebrate the mistakes of people behind the pervious acceptance to live for upcoming years.
